Question 1.
You have to make a speech in your class about the precautions and measures to be taken against malaria. Write the speech in not more than 100 words. You may take help of the ideas given below :
Prevention is better than cure—cleanliness—in and outside the house—no water logging—mosquito—DDT spray—full sleeves—full pants—covers
Answer:
Protection from Malaria
My dear Friends
Malaria is a disease which troubles us every year. A victim of malaria suffers a lot in terms of health as well as money. Prevention is better than cure. So, please allow me to tell you certain ways of keeping malaria away. The first important condition is to keep complete cleanliness in and outside the house. The most important thing is that there should be no water logging. Standing water is the place which mosquitoes love. Then, DDT should be sprayed in the whole house. While going to bed and even otherwise, we should cover as much of our body as possible. This will help in keeping mosquitoes away. With these precautions, I am sure we can keep malaria away.
Thank you.
Question 2.
Prepare a speech for the morning assembly on the topic, ‘Good Manners’ with the help of the given outlines.
Importance of good manners—cost nothing—at home—at school—in social life.
Answer:
Good Manners
Respected Principal, Learned Teachers and my Friends,
Good manners are the sweetness of life. They make misfortunes less bitter and life worth living. “Nothing clears up my spirits, like a fine day”, said Keats and good manners descend upon most of us like a fine day.
These good manners cost nothing and they are useful for us at every place in life. At home, the good manners can make a child the darling of the whole family. All that he needs to do is to be respectful to his elders and affectionate to those who are younger to him. At school, the teachers are happy when you say ‘good morning’ to them and stand up when they enter the class. However, their highest importance is in social life. We must learn to use the phrases — ‘please’ and ‘thank you’- for every little bit of favour we receive from them.
Question 3.
Prepare a speech in about 100 words, encouraging your schoolmates to follow certain rules when they go for excursions so as to keep our picnic spots clean and attractive. You can take the help of the hints given below.
use of bags to dispose of wrappers—leave no waste—use public dustbins—avoid carrying disposables etc.
Answer:
Keeping Surroundings Clean
Respected Principal, Learned Teachers and Friends,
I am sure, it doesn’t need a speech to tell us that cleanliness is only next to Godliness. The question is why we do not practise it in our daily life. There are two reasons—our habits and our circumstances. If we are determined, we can improve both of them.
When we go for excursions, let us form a habit to carry a big plastic bag with us. This will help us to drop the wrappers into it when a public dustbin is not easily available. The second rule on such occasions can be to leave no waste as far as possible. Where public dustbins are available, all the waste with us should be thrown into them. We should avoid carrying disposable material which is the main source of rubbish,
Question 1.
You are the Head Boy/Head Girl of your school The following photo caught your attention. You decide to speak about this during the morning assembly. Prepare your speech in about 100 words giving useful suggestions.
Answer:
Kill the Plastic Bag
Respected teachers and friends
The pictures given above provide us an opportunity to think about the use of plastic bags. I wonder if we are really aware of the harm which the plastic bags cause. For, if we know it, we can easily help to decrease it. Not long ago, people were using either paper bags or the bags made of cloth. Those paper bags were, of course, not so strong as plastic but they did not cause any pollution. So we should force the shopkeepers to give us paper bags. Alternatively we can carry our cloth bags with us whenever possible. Plastic bags often find their way into drains and choke them. Sometimes the cattle swallow them and die. I would, therefore request you to say ‘no’ to plastic bags.
CBSE Class 7 English Speech Writing Based on Visual Input Q1.1
Question 2.
You are Richard, a hockey player. The following visual shows the Indian hockey players not giving a chance to the opponents even to touch the ball at the World Cup tournament. You are unhappy about the step-motherly treatment shown by the government towards your favourite sport, so much so that the team was not even given a reception on their return to India after winning the World Cup. Your colony decided to felicitate the winning team. Write a speech in about 120 words to be delivered at the function showing your protest against the attitude of the government and the need to encourage all sports equally.
Answer:
Mr. Chairman, ladies and gentlemen
It’s a great day for Hockey. We have gathered here to felicitate our Indian Hockey team that has done really well this time. At the World Cup tournament, they did not let their opponents even touch the ball. I join the loud chorus of the praises heaped on them.
It, however, makes me sad that the government of the day gives this great game a step-motherly treatment. Even a proper reception has been denied to this team. Millions of rupees are given to the cricketers when they come home after winning a world-cup but the hockey team is neglected. We can’t do much except treating them as celebrities in our own humble way. We are with our players and we will do all that we can to force the government to treat this national sport better.
Question 1:
It is commonly believed that nature has enough for man’s need, but not enough for man’s greed. Prepare a speech to be delivered in the school assembly highlighting the role of students in preservation and conservation of environment. Use the following hints.
Hints
Children should contribute towards preservation and conservation of environment.
Reduce waste.
Avoid wastage of paper.
Conserve existing resources.
Turn electrical switches when not in use.
Use non-toxic cleaners.
Use energy saving light bulbs.
Reduce the use of petroleum based products.
Use biodegradable products.
Spread awareness about environment issues.
Answer:
Good morning, respected Principal, Headmistress, teachers and my dear friends.
Today, I am going to talk about ‘the role of school children in the preservation and conservation of environment’. Sometimes we are overwhelmed by the extent of damage humans have caused to the environment and I am not sure if an individual can make any impact. But I am sure we the children can certainly take little steps towards improving our environment.
We should attempt to reduce waste before it becomes waste. We should avoid wastage of paper by using it on both sides.
We should try our best to conserve the existing resources so that they do not get exhausted. We should not waste water while taking a bath and most certainly we can take a shorter bath.
Non-toxic cleaners should be used at home which are environment friendly.
We should always turn electrical switches off when not in use, especially personal computers and electronics which can consume a lot of energy. We should use energy saving light bulbs.
We should use carpools instead of taking individual cars to common destinations.
We should reduce the use of petroleum based products like plastics. We should use biodegradable products.
And last, but not the least, grow more and more trees in and around your house and spread awareness about environmental issues.
In the end I would like to say that “a small step taken today will become a giant leap tomorrow”. It will go a long way in preserving and conserving the environment.
Children’s Day Speech
Question 2:
Junk food can be very appealing to children, but they cause more harm to them than they can imagine. Prepare a speech, to be delivered in the school assembly on the harmful effects of Junk Food on School Children. Use the hints given below.
Hints
Proves to be harmful.
Addictive.
Obesity, chronic illness, low self esteem, depression.
Decreases concentration level.
High calorie, fats, carbohydrates and added sugars.
Creates deficiency of nutrients.
Diabetes, blood pressure, stroke.
Slow poison.
Answer :
Good morning, respected Principal, Headmistress, teachers and my dear friends.
Today, I am going to speak/express my views on the topic-‘Junk Food- Poison for Children’.
As you all realise how appealing junk food can be because of the good taste and convenience. But if we come to know about its harmful consequences, I am sure, none of us are going to touch junk food ever in life again.
Junk food may appear especially appetising. However, regular consumption of junk food can be addictive for children and lead to complications like obesity, chronic illness, low self esteem and even depression. All this may affect a child’s performance in school. According to a study conducted, diet has a significant effect on children’s study habits. Foods with high sugar content deplete energy levels and ability to concentrate for extended periods of time.
By consuming junk food children take in a high amount of calories, fats, carbohydrates and added sugars in one fast food meal, with the result that their bodies become deficient in fibre and other nutrients. Such eating habits increase the risk of obesity. They are thus at a risk for developing diabetes, high blood pressure and stroke.
So, friends it is in our hands to decide what kind of food to choose. If we want to lead a healthy life we must put an end to the consumption of this poison called junk food.
Thank you.
Question 3:
Social Media sites are very popular among teenagers. They spend majority of their free time on these sites, socialising with their friends. Prepare a speech to be delivered in the morning assembly on the topic- ‘Social Media-Good or Bad for children?’ Use the following hints.
Hints
Has positive aspects, but one has to be cautious of bullying and victimisation.
Can break a person.
Fake face book accounts.
Valuable time wasted on social media sites.
Can affect the future.
Answer:
Good morning, respected Principal, Headmistress, teachers and my dear friends.
Today, I am going to speak/express my views on the topic ‘Social Media—Is it good or bad for children?’
Many of you think that social media is a gift. It is true that the internet has taken us light years ahead in terms of advancement and has given us more channels of communication. We can socialise with friends, post videos and can do much more.
But if we look at the negative aspect, it gives people a chance to gossip. Social media can be used for bullying and victimising. People can send disturbing texts or e-mails, spread rumours or post embarrassing pictures and videos. Online bullying is a serious issue and cannot be ignored.
Social media can make or break a person. Fake facebook accounts are created to cheat people by pretending to be an organisation and extracting money from them through unfair means.
Dear friends, our most valuable time may be wasted on these sites and consequently our grades at school can suffer. So let’s make the most of the available opportunities and use these social media sites for a limited time only. Let us not become addicted to it and allow it to upset our lives in such a way that our future is affected.
In the end I would like to appeal to all my dear friends to use the social media cautiously otherwise it may have a devastating effect.
Thank you.
Question 4:
These days cruelty towards animals is often heard and read about, in the newspapers. It is unfair to be cruel towards animals as they are helpless, poor creatures who can’t even speak out their agony. Prepare a speech, to be delivered in the morning assembly, making the children realise about the cruelty towards animals. Use the hints given below.
Hints
Cats, dogs, horses, livestock animals are abused.
Consideration towards animals as they can’t speak.
Help the animals in need by taking them to a vet or reporting to the concerned authorities.
You can and should make a difference to these animals.
Be kind to animals.
Respect them.
Answer:
Good morning, respected Principal, Headmistress, teachers and my dear friends.
Today, I am going to speak/express my views on the topic ‘How Can We Prevent Animal Abuse?’
It is commonly seen that cats, dogs, horses and livestock animals are subjected to abuse by humans.
Let’s try and make a difference to these animals who can’t even share their feelings and pain with anyone. When we feel cold, they are cold too. If we feel hungry, they too feel hungry.
So friends, be nice to your pets. Feed them on time. Don’t keep them out in the cold outside, bring them in. Don’t let animals suffer because of your neglect. Well, try and help the stray animals too, as far as you can help it.
Here’s what you can do
Whenever you find any wound, patches of missing hair or infection on the animal’s body, take it to a vet.
Similarly, if you see an extremely thin, starving or limping animal, take it to a vet too. If you see any owner striking or otherwise physically abusing an animal, immediately report the matter to the authority. Avoid keeping your animal chained. Keep your eyes and ears open. Be aware and notice possible indicators for abuse. Any case of abuse should be reported immediately. You and only you can make a difference to animals.
I make an appeal to all of you to respect animals and treat them with love, care and understanding. Be kind to them and volunteer to help them if they are in need.
Thank you.
Q.1. Welcome Speech for Republic Day
Good morning to one and all present here. I am here to present a welcome speech. As we all know that we have gathered here on a very special occasion for a democratic country “India”. Today’s day is the 72nd Republic Day of our beloved country India. Warm Greetings and a very warm welcome to all of you present here, with special mention to our Hon’ble principal, vice-principal, and respected teachers. I will share my views through my Welcome Speech on Republic Day. I would like to say a lot of thanks, my Principal Madam, as just because of her I have got such a wonderful opportunity to come on this stage and speak about my beloved country on such auspicious occasion of Republic day.
India is a self-governing country since 15thof August 1947, after getting freedom from the British Rule. That day we are celebrating Independence Day every year on the 15th of August in 1947. However, the constitution of India came into existence on the 26th of January in 1950 and hence making our country a full-fledged republic. This day is often celebrated with colorfully organized culture events held in every part of our country. The streets hum with patriotic songs with true spirits are found in every heart as they share in the celebrations.
Republic means the highest authority and power in the country is the people living in the country. The only the public has the right to elect their representative political leaders to lead the country based on the constitution in the right direction. The constitution has encouraged all citizens to have equal social and economic rights.
Our Great Indian freedom fighters have struggled a lot and sacrificed their lives to get the “Purna Swaraj” means “Complete Freedom” in India. There are uncountable freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandra Shekher Ajad, Lala Lajpat Rai, Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel and many more. Each and every citizen of this country must remember them on such a great occasion.
Our first Indian President Dr. Rajendra Prasad said that we have found the whole of this vast land brought together under the jurisdiction of one constitution, one union. It takes over responsibility for the welfare of all men and women living in it. But, unfortunately, we are still fighting with crime, corruption, violence, and terrorism in our country. These nation-wide problems are pulling our nation back from going to the path of development and progress.
Conclusion:
Therefore, there is a need to unite again to save our country from such indirect slavery. We should be aware of social evils such as poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, global warming, inequality, etc. Other than celebrating the national glory and recalling the achievements of our motherland, we should also take a pledge to eradicate the social evils from our society which is the big hurdle in the way of our country’s progress.
We all should take an oath to maintain the sovereignty of our nation. This sovereignty is priceless. With these humble words, I bow my head to the flag with the words “Jai Hind, Jai Bharat”.
Thanks

Annual function happens to be one of the most important functions in the school. Furthermore, this is the day to wrap up all that has been done in the previous year. The day marks a really exciting time of the academic year. Moreover, the annual day is the day on which an academic year is about to end while a new one is all set to start.
Lively Previous Year
The year 2019 had been a real roller-coaster ride. It was a year full of learning, opportunities, fun, and thrill. Most students displayed competitive spirit in the previous year by participating in various sports activities and competitions. The school was host to a variety of inter-school competitions.
Furthermore, the school also organized vacation trips to Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan for students. Besides, our honorable principal was responsible for various school trips to historical spots and museums.
An Honorable Year
Last year will always stay in the memory of everyone as being one of the most successful years of this school. We certainly set a new record in terms of the number of competitions and trophies won. Furthermore, there was a great demonstration of students’ talent at our school. The students won several trophies, accolades, and prizes.
The football team amazingly won the inter-city football tournament to become the best football team in the city. The debating team went to the heights of glory by winning the prestigious State debate tournament. The senior quiz team was also impressive by being the runner up in an all India level quiz competition. Thus, as one can see, it was a year of glory, honor, success, and prestige for our school.
Time to Enjoy
We certainly have shown everyone that we are a force to be reckoned with. After so much hard work and effort, I think we deserve some cool celebration to enjoy our achievements. Under the guidance of our hardest working students who work with utmost dedication, dear teachers, parents, students, and friends, we have come up with this show on this very special day, the Annual Function day, 2019.
Forget all your worries and just feast your eyes on high-quality singing, dance, drama, poetry, and comedy performances. Also, our young ones from the junior section know all about hard work and determination. Consequently, these junior students will come up with a beautiful music version play from The Jungle Book, by Rudyard Kipling.
A Whole New Section
On this Annual Function Day, we have come up with an absolutely new section. Furthermore, this new section will involve a set of games that both children and parents will participate in. Also, the children and parents will play this game as a team. I assure you that it will be really entertaining and delightful.
So, this is how the game works- children and parents will be on one side while the teachers and school staff on the other side. There will be a simple organization of simple games like a three-legged race, tug of war, and relay races in the main sports ground. Above all, these games will take place soon after the auditorium show comes to an end.
This new section will certainly be a fitting end to our Annual Function Day. I expect whole-hearted participation from everyone including the parents and teachers.
We would like to thank our honorable Principal sir for his selfless dedication in making this school great. He is an amazing individual who loves this school above everything else. Furthermore, I have a lot of memories of this place which shall remain with me till my dying day. I am sure that you all will also carry these memories until the end of your lives. This beautiful school will always be an important part and parcel of our lives.
Dwelling in the Reminiscence
Our school gave us precious memories that are truly priceless. The day when I first walked into the school premises is still fresh and new in my mind. Furthermore, at that time life felt so difficult and hard.
Little did we knew that those were the best days of our lives. Furthermore, we will miss those little moments of fun- whether it be playing in the playground, or chilling in the canteen, or chatting in the corridors.
Who can forget the highly awaited and anticipated school bell for recess time? We would all rush out of the classrooms as if we were like animals in a cage who have been left free. Moreover, that feeling of intense excitement will be unmatchable. The final school bell signaling the end of the day was even more exciting. Now, of course, all of that will be left behind.

Friendships and Social Interactions
Friendships and social interactions are one of the best aspects of school life. Furthermore, there is a belief which I think you all will agree with. This belief is that friendship whose formation takes place at childhood is certainly the strongest. Most noteworthy, there is a widespread belief that school friendships are truly unbreakable.
So, no matter how hard life gets, we will never abandon our school friends. Most noteworthy, on this very special day, let’s all make a promise that we will always stay in touch with our friends.
A New Life
An important chapter of our lives is coming to an end. However, there is a whole new chapter of life awaiting us.
Furthermore, I know that for many of us, thinking about the future is an unsettling experience. Moreover, this is something which we all like to avoid. Some of us even undertake procrastination whenever the talk of the future comes up. This is certainly not a good attitude on our part
The future is not something that we should fear. Rather it is a challenge that we should all gladly embrace.
Personally, I don’t know what the future holds for us. In fact, this is a question that no one can answer. Hopefully, our school’s experience and learning will come to our rescue.

Hello and a warm welcome to Honourable Chief Guest, Respected Principal, Teachers, dear friends, and parents. I am here to give a welcome speech for conference organized on personality development. I might likewise want to offer my thanks to our regarded chief guest who acknowledged our invitation to direct this conference for personality development. Our school organizes conferences consistently for students to gain knowledge, associating them with various aspects of life.
Indeed! These conferences help students to get into self-introspection as well as their achievements. This encourages the students to participate in various events and see their blossom into an individual. Our behavior determines our friends and surroundings and their attitude towards us. The impact of various positive and negative factors in life molds our personality. Nowadays, personality development is essential from a career point of view.
We should not underestimate the importance of having a personality. We need good communication skills, politeness, vocabulary, neatness, and a positive attitude to enhance our personality. Personality is not about outer looks but its the inner beauty which matters the most.
Advantages of a Good Personality
An attractive personality influences everyone. You must possess certain traits and characteristics to make your mark during a deep conversation.
