A SONNET ON LOVE

A SONNET ON LOVE

Love is not love that bends
Love is not love that rends
Love is not love that stinks
Love is not love that shrinks.

Love is a saccharine soft flower
It does Its sweet aroma shower.
It knows never to cower
No mundane wealth can hire.

Love retains tremendous power
Unburnt even by devastating fire
Untainted even by muggy mire
A heavenly gift on Earth rare!

Love can melt stones, join hearts
Conquer peaks and play many miraculous parts.
