A LETTER TO LORD GANESH

O Dear Lord Ganesh! Do You really want to be made up of anti-Natural stuffs and chemicals,
Do You really crave for being painted with intolerable, insoluble, dazzling and hazardous hues?
Do You really yearn for being set up and worshipped by foully hoarded means of ostentatious Pandals,
And do You really long for standing like Skyscrapers, or sitting like a billion Banyan Trees gigantic and huge?

O Dear Ganapati Bappa! Do You really want the public roads being overcrowded, impassable and chaotic,
Both, when You are fondly fetched  to the Sanctuaries, and taken, before being bidden tearful farewells,
Like the Exam. Papers, to be evaluated for prizes, by Your children devout and Angelic?
And do You really believe in "Where wealth is splurged on vanity, deafening DJs,  drums, wine propelled dances, Party and Business promotions and pollutions, there Devotion dwells?

O Dear Lord Ganesh, the ultimate Remover of all evil Devils, and Fetcher of all Good Lucks, Happiness and Salvation,
The Showerer of Knowledge, Wisdom and Enlightenment! Will You chalk out a quick and needful Solution,
So that there can be  relieving full stops to the prevailing degrading, disgusting and destructive trend,
Thus, You, and the other gods and goddesses, Nature and innocent humans can heave sighs of respite when a peaceful and harmless End is gained!

O Dear Lord Ganesh! Hope, You will surely receive and, raptly read my letter to act upon it at the earliest,
Before, alas, it is too late for such so many and so-called mad and sad fads and celebrations to turn, in disguise, deadliest!
