A HUMBLE HOMAGE TO AMAR SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH

A HUMBLE HOMAGE TO AMAR SHAHEED BHAGT SINGH

Who else, except you, O the immortal Soul, could think, at so tender an age of five,
Of planting in the field of his family a gun,
So that that could give forth, one day or the other, like a ripe mango stone,
Innumerable similar youngs  to ward off from India a harmful British Hive,
And do away with, once and for all, their cruel reign, and illegitimate Dominion!

Who else, except you, could walk from Lahore to Jallianwala Bagh to survey the brutal massacre by Gen. Dyer,
And bring home its blood soaked Soil in a bottle to treasure as a token of sacred Souvenir?
Who else, except you, could better avenge the callous murder of Lala Lajpat Rai, and court, for self-esteem, immortal Martyrdom,
Who else, except you, would consider the prettiest bride of a young groom to be the country's loveliest Freedom,
Who else, except you, could, among the six lac and thirty two thousand martyred Patriots, deserve more Salam?

Thus, you ought to be paid the fittest Homage by not compromising with anyone on country's sovereignty,
By not succumbing to the foreign Powers for petty personal gains, political milage or cheap popularity,
By not letting Mother India being shackled, enslaved and dictated once again by the greedy and gluttonous Aliens,
But, by passing Your most valuable and radiant Beacon of Freedom to the hands of the descendants for years, ages and aeons!

Wishing you "Happy Martyr's Day"!
