THANK YOU CORONA.

THANK YOU CORONA.

Thank you Corona for coming to the world as a bitter curse and going as a sweet boon:
For, you have tortured man, past imagination, worse and harsher than a hired goon!
You have exposed Science; mocked at human helplessness; and taunted at his technology's advance,
You have forced him to love a self-hugged jail; brought his fastest life to stagnancy; and dictated him to dance!

You have chased man invisibly and pounced upon him like a terrible Tiger,
You have tied, gagged, stupefied and transfixed him with your shocking, elusive saunter!
You have taken away jobs; slapped him by hunger pang; and devastated the economy,
You have maimed and mutilated him beyond cure turning all his sunny dreams gloomy!

Nevertheless, you have proved for man no less than a beautiful blessing in disguise,
For, you have really forced him to be humble, hygienic, disciplined, ego-less and wise,
You have taught him not to mistake that money, machine and might can always conquer,
You have preached him to love and respect Nature; and accept wholeheartedly that God is greater,
You have opened his eyes to see the Miracles of the Almighty behind every phenomenon,
You have awakened his sleeping senses to thank Him for making him the greatest gift of His unique Creation!

    Shankerji,

Your poem titled "Thank You Corona" is a poem that brings into the mainstream the genuine advantages arising out of the spread of the Coronavirus as a pandemic all across the world. The poem begins with the exhortation that Corona is a saving grace for the world although this clear-cut lesson we have learnt through great sacrifices in terms of human lives and freedoms. This Corona has put mankind in all sorts of difficulties and obstacles. The human beings within a span of three months have come to the realisation that they are of no consequence whatsoever in front of the far greater contestant such as the nature. The human beings stand completely exposed and don't know what to do at present. The finest achievements of human beings have no effect in the context of the propagation of Coronavirus all throughout the world and also the biggest machines of the world can not combat this masquerading and marauding virus. The human beings who have put them on the express highway of life are brought to a grinding halt within no time and their homes are turned into their only refuge. This virus has stopped human activities like never before. The various sectors or fields of us human beings which are prevented in their very tracks are our commercial activities, transportation, exchanges of goods and services, our roads, railways and airports, our civil aviation, our agricultural activities and our travel industry. The wounds inflicted upon different sectors of the world economy are enormous, substantial and long ranging as well. All these monumental destructions have been hammered upon the world by a wayward virus which has gone out of control from the human fortresses. But,the Coronavirus has taught us human beings certain lessons of invaluable nature such as ourselves paying attention to spend quality time with our families, persuading us to look at the positive vibes emanating out of nature, renewal of interests in nature, the new awareness regarding the need to take care of the Earth, the imperative of following a lifestyle of sustainable nature, the adoption of a developmental process of ecocentric nature, the uselessness of material prospects in saving lives and the ample respect accorded to the Supreme Being.Yes,new normal has emerged out of this crisis which is hoped to be the beginning of the construction of a novel world of sustainability and general well being of all the animated and the inanimated creatures here on this Mother Earth.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of brilliant nature.
