THE STORY OF CHANG AND PANG

THE STORY OF CHANG AND PANG

There was a school boy named Michael Chang,
Who hailed from an ancient city called shining Shang!
He was the son of a Military Monarch titled the pestering Pang,
Who ruled unrivalled, as Ozymandias, in the province known as Whuang!

Alas! The boy, like his fallible and ill-famed father, was wicked by nature,
Who used to bully and terrorize his friends, and his teachers heckle and torture!
While playing games, he used to win applying all possible foul means,
And to scrape thru the Tests, he used to surpass all the meanest tricks and sins!

Phew! Driven by envy and spite, he made up his mind to topple the toppers,
To poison their mid-day meals, he paid the cook and the company by golds, silvers and coppers;
But, his mischievous mirth, like the nefarious Sir Ralph's, did not last too long,
For, inadvertently and by mistake, he was served the poisoned food by the bribed cook Kong!

Thus, the bitter and loathful Truth about his son drowned the King in a gulf of guilt and a river of grief and remorse,
So, he shunned his cruel, tyrannous ways; quit monarchy to lead in the nearby forest a life of penitence and penance!
He exhorted and encouraged, at last, one and all to give up vice, which is worse than a curse,
And, to embrace humanism, which is one's best friend, and nurture Virtue, which is the only richest resource!
