ତୁମେ ସେହି ସ୍ମୃତି ପ୍ରୀତି ଫୁଲ ଟିଏ

ଏ ହୃଦୟ ବଗିଚା ରେ

ମହ ମହ ହୋଇ ଫୁଟି ଉଠିଥିଲ

ଦିନେ ଏହି ଜୀବନ ରେ।

ତୁମେ ନିଶିଗନ୍ଧା ଚମ୍ପକ ବରଣା

ରଙ୍ଗ ଭରା ବାସ୍ନା ହୋଇ

ରଙ୍ଗାୟିତ ପରା କରି ଦେଇ ଥିଲ

ସଂଜ ସକାଳ କୁ ନେଇ।

କାହିଁକି କେଜାଣି ସେ ଅତୀତ ସ୍ମୃତି

କରଇ ଯେ ଆନ ମନା

ବିରହ ବେଦନା ଏତେ କଷ୍ଟ ସାଧ୍ୟ 

ଯେତେ ସହିଲେ ବି ସରେନା ।

ପାହାନ୍ତି ଆକାଶେ ତାରାଙ୍କ ମେଳରେ

ଜହ୍ନ କୁ ଦେଖଇ ଯେତେ

କାକର ରୂପ ରେ ପ୍ରୀୟା ର ପରଶ

ଛୁଇଁ ଯାଉଥାଏ ମୋତେ।

ଗୋଧୂଳି ଲଗନେ ସୁରୁଜ ନଇଁଲେ

ଜଳେ ଯେବେ ସଞ୍ଜବତୀ

ସତେକି ଆସଇ ସାନ୍ଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରୀୟ ତମା

ବାଣ୍ଟିବାକୁ ପ୍ରୀୟା ପ୍ରୀତି।

ପ୍ରଥମ ପ୍ରେମ ର ସେ ଅଭୁଲା ସ୍ମୃତି

ଆଜି ବି ପଡଇ ମନେ

ବ୍ୟଥିତ କରଇ ବିଗତ କାହାଣୀ

ସ୍ମୃତି ହୋଇ ରେଖା ଟାଣେ।

ସତ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରି ପାରେ ନାହିଁ ଭୁଲି

ପ୍ରୀୟା ର ନରମ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ

ଆସ ପ୍ରୀୟ ତମା ତୁମେ ଅନୁପମା

ଥରେ ମୋ ପାଖକୁ ଆସ।

ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ ରତ ଗଲା ବହୁବର୍ଷ

ବୟସ ବି ଗଲା ଚାଲି

ତଥାପି ରହିଛି ଚାହିଁ ମୁଁ ଶୁନ୍ୟ କୁ

ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଆସିବ ବୋଲି।

O my Love!

You are an enchanting blossom of an enduring Souvenir

That thrived long since in my fertile heart's Eden garden

To spray around me for eternity your love fragrance treasured and hidden

Which seemed void even in the sweetest heavenly sprite and the fairest fairy!

O my Love!

Never did a day dawn or a dusk fell in my life joyous and blissful 

When I was deprived of listening to your celestial songs, o my solitary Reaper!

Thus, Time skipped faster than moments and more merrily than a grasshopper

With the magnetic touch of your love blithe, panacean and peaceful!

But, O my Love!

An unavoidable distance from you serves to distract my attention

To look for you in the smiles of the stars throughout nights

In the footprints of the sun left on the delirious waves of the ocean

And in the soft and melodious croons of the cuckoo to sip, in vain, my delights!

O my Love!

The rain of pain falls deeper the more the souvenir of your first love haunts

But, my sanguine souls gets more optimistic to meet you the more our separation taunts!
