FATES OF THE FLOWERS

Some flowers bloom to adorn gods and goddesses,
When they turn divine incarnates to be born to bless,
When they are sought after to serve as a symbol of sacredness,
When they are stored by their devotees as a token of ethereal Solace!

Some other flowers blossom to be used to greet, honour or felicitate,
When they are offered in the forms of garlands, bouquets or wreaths,
When someone is appreciated for his worthy or honest sweat,
Or, when a martyr, for a noble cause of the country, no longer breathes!

Still, some other flowers fated to shine unseen,
Whose Beauty rots as if they had committed much sin,
Whose fragrance is not inhaled with glee and gratitude,
Whose life ends in a hell of wilderness, not in a heaven of human altitude!

Flowers and men are the same in many prominent and conspicuous ways,
Alas! The former accept their Fates humbly, while the latter defy their destined ways!
