LET'S NOT LOOK DOWN UPON THE POOR.

Let's not look down upon the downtrodden and the poor;

Alas! Who are pitiably less privileged than we are,

Who are pathetically less fortunate than we are,

Who desperately crave for due care, and deserve our pyar!

Let's not look down upon oppressed and the poor;

Alas! Who are, unlike us, wretchedly born and bred on the footpaths,

Who, helplessly defecate in the open without hygiene and regular baths,

Who pass hot, cold and rainy nights under the bridges, or in the tents without a door!

Let's not look down upon the destitute and the poor;

Alas! Who too, like us, want to wander in a park, and dwell in a posh tower,

Who too, like us, desire to dine in a luxurious inn, and wed in a hotel five star,

Who too, like us, wish to fly as birds, and lead a cosy, blithe and blissful life of a flower!

Let's, so, do something to do away with poverty that the doomed and the poor can smile,

And, this heavenly Earth can also be their Home of happiness, and not a hell of sorrow servile!
