ସଙ୍ଗତି/ THE OUTCOME OF COMPANY

 

*ସଙ୍ଗତି ଉପରେ ସ୍ଵାମୀ ବିବେକାନନ୍ଦଙ୍କ ମନୋରମ ଉଦାହରଣ:-*

ସଙ୍ଗତି ଉପରେ ବୁଝାଇବାକୁ ଯାଇ ସେ କହିଥିଲେ," ଆକାଶରୁ ପଡ଼ୁଥିବା ଜଳ ଟୋପା ଯଦି ହାତରେ ଧରାଯାଏ, ଏହା ପାନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଶୁଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇଥାଏ । ଯଦି ଏହା ନର୍ଦ୍ଦମାରେ ପଡିଗଲା ତେବେ ଏହାର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ଏତେ କମିଯାଏ ଯେ ଏହା ପାଦ ଧୋଇବା ପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ନଥାଏ । ଏହା ଯଦି ଉତ୍ତପ୍ତ ପାତ୍ର ଉପରେ ପଡିଯାଏ ଏହା ବିନାଶ ହୁଏ । ଏହା ଯଦି ପଦ୍ମ ପତ୍ର ଉପରେ ପଡେ ଏହା ଏକ ମୁକ୍ତା ଭଳି ଚମକି ଉଠେ ଓ ପରିଶେଷରେ ଯଦି ଏହା ଶାମୁକା ଉପରେ ପଡ଼େ ଏହା ଏକ ମୁକ୍ତା ରେ ପରିଣତ ହୋଇଥାଏ । ପାଣି ଟୋପା ସବୁଠି ସମାନ ଥାଏ କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହାର ଅସ୍ତିତ୍ବ ଓ ମୂଲ୍ୟ ନିର୍ଭର କରେ ଯାହା ସହିତ ଏହା ସଙ୍ଗିତ କରେ ।

ଯେଉଁ ମାନଙ୍କର ହୃଦୟ ଉତ୍ତମ ସବୁବେଳେ ସେଇ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହ ସଙ୍ଗିତ କରନ୍ତୁ ।

THE OUTCOME OF COMPANY 

Vivekananda once inculcated the outcome of company in a simple way:

When a drop of rain water falls into your palms, it's pure to drink they say;

But, if it falls into a filthy drain, it becomes so unhealthy and impure 

That even the feet vomit at its stink, what to speak of the mouth then, my dear?

He further added, no sooner does the same drop fall from the sky on a hot pan,

Than it loses its identity and mingles with the air due to evaporation;

And if it falls on an emerald lotus leaf in a pond, it shines like a bead of pearl, 

And if fortune favours it to fall into an open shell, it becomes among the gems an Earl!

It's now crystal clear that the worth of a thing largely depends on

What a company it belongs to, and how much worth has its companion!

Thus, one must learn and remember, "You are what your company is,

A noble company sweetens you life, but a vice one does your sweetness seize!
