SDM'S RULES "FROM NEGATIVE TO AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCES"


 Transformation of Negative sentences into Affirmative sentences:

 

1. By replacing ‘not + adjectives/verbs’ with the negative prefix ‘dis + adjectives/verbs’

 

1. He is not obedient.

Ans. He is disobedient.

2. He does not obey his parents.

Ans. He disobeys his parents.

3. He is not satisfied.

Ans. He is dissatisfied.

4. His results were not satisfactory.

Ans. His results were dis-satisfactory.

5. He is not pleased with his results.

Ans. He is displeased with his results.

6. He did not like me.

Ans. He is disliked me.

7. He was not qualified for the post.

6. By replacing ‘not + adjectives’ with the negative prefix ‘un + adjectives’

7. By replacing ‘not + adjectives’ with the negative prefix ‘anti + adjectives’

Ans. These are anti-religious propaganda.

8. By replacing ‘not/no + without’ with positive ‘adjectives/verbs/nouns’ and replacing ‘nots’ with ‘without/but for’

 

1. Every mother is not without love for her children.

Ans. Every mother has love for her children.

2.     There is no mother who does not love her children.

Ans. Every mother loves her children.

3. We are not without wisdom.

Ans. We are wise.

4. There are no roses without thorns.

11. By replacing ‘Not only…but also’ with ‘As well as/Both….and’, No sooner ….than’ with ‘As soon as’ and ‘So…that’  with ‘Too…to’

Ans. He is a bowler as well as a batsman.

2. Sita not only bowled the first over but also took a wicket.
