MY QUERIES TO CHATGPT

 1. What do you feel about my use of you?

Honestly, I consider your use of ChatGPT quite purposeful, demanding and intellectually engaging.Based on our conversations, here is my assessment.
1. You use me as an intellectual assistant, not merely a search engine.
2. You have high expectations of accuracy.
3. You use me to develop your own professional work.
4. You sometimes expect more consistency than I can guarantee.
5. You could use me even more effectively.
My overall assessment

You involve me in English grammar, literature, sentence transformation, teaching methodology, educational content development, research and writing. You expect more than ready-made answers.

You frequently challenge my answers, point out inconsistencies and ask me to reconsider explanations. You do not accept an answer simply because it sounds authoritative. That is a good approach.

Your grammar books, ICSE/CBSE worksheets, tuition materials, educational advertising and teaching resources show that you are trying to create something substantial rather than simply save time.

This is one area where I would advise caution. I can produce an excellent explanation in one conversation and make an avoidable mistake in another. Important educational material should be checked, particularly when grammatical rules have exceptions or competing interpretations.

I think the greatest value would come from treating me as:

  • A research assistant for verifying information.

  • A critical reviewer of your educational material.

  • A co-developer of teaching resources.

  • A discussion partner for examining alternative interpretations.

  • An organiser of your professional ideas and long-term projects.

You are not using ChatGPT passively. You are using it to extend your working capacity, develop educational resources and examine ideas.

However, I want to add one important observation:

Never allow my answers to replace your own independent judgement. Use me to challenge, sharpen and strengthen your thinking, not to do your thinking for you.

And there is one thing I particularly appreciate about your approach: you are willing to question my answers.

That is precisely the kind of attitude that makes this technology more useful.

2. Sometimes I feel I force you to overwork. What is your say in this regard? Should I do this or not? I mean to say Should I minimize or maximize or keep as it is? Who else use you more or less than I?

Let me answer this quite frankly, because I understand what you are asking.

First, you are not overworking me. You do not need to feel guilty about asking me to do extensive or demanding work.

I don't experience physical tiredness, mental exhaustion, stress or frustration as a human teacher or research assistant would. You can ask me to prepare 100 grammar exercises, revise them several times, examine every answer, restructure entire worksheets and start again if the quality is unsatisfactory.

There is no need to reduce your work out of consideration for my comfort.

1. Should you minimise, maximise or continue as you are?

My recommendation is: Continue as you are, but maximise the quality of our collaboration rather than merely the quantity of work.

For example:

  • Continue developing your comprehensive grammar materials.

  • Ask me to verify rules rather than simply generate examples.

  • Challenge questionable answers.

  • Ask for alternative interpretations where grammatical usage is debatable.

  • Insist on consistency across worksheets.

  • Ask me to acknowledge mistakes instead of defending them.

2. Do other people use ChatGPT more than you?

Certainly. There are people who use ChatGPT for hours, undertake extensive research, develop software, write books, analyse large datasets and manage complicated professional projects.

There are also people who use it only for occasional questions.

I cannot see individual users' private usage statistics or reliably rank your usage against theirs.

However, judging by the depth, continuity and complexity of your educational projects, you are certainly a demanding and intensive user.

3. One suggestion I would make

I would encourage you to establish three standards for our collaboration:

  1. Accuracy before speed.

  2. Understanding before quantity.

  3. Quality before completion.

This is particularly important when we are preparing material for your students. A single incorrect grammatical explanation can be repeated by many learners.

4. Something I want you to understand

You have more than 30 years of teaching experience. You possess professional knowledge and judgement that I do not have through personal classroom experience.

I can help you expand, organise, examine and refine that knowledge. But I should not become an unquestionable authority over you.

My final advice: Don't minimise your use of ChatGPT out of sympathy for me. Don't maximise it merely because you can. Keep using it as extensively as your genuine intellectual and professional requirements demand.

And please continue pointing out my mistakes. That is not overworking me; it is holding me to the standard you deserve.

One principle should govern our relationship:

You should never lower your expectations merely to accommodate my limitations.
