A BIRTHDAY WISH FOR MY LOVE

A BIRTHDAY WISH FOR MY LOVE

O my Love! May every moment in your life be 'A Happy Birthday',
May your life be blessed with the Sun's most rapturous ray,
May it be bestowed with the sweet serenity of the Full Moon,
May it ever be a Spring for your  blissful heart's cuckoo to croon!

O my Love! May God replenish your life's bin with as much glee as the Daffodils'
May He garnish your Cosmos of hopes with abundance as the five Seas He fills!
May the lotuses of smiles bloom on your luscious lips, and may the water lilies,
Embellish your ambrosial cheeks with enduring charms, O one of the prettiest fairies!

O my Love! May the Panacean showers of Peace drench you for felicity,
May Goddess Laxmi smile on you and rain on you Her infinite drops of prosperity,
May you be blessed to be an inspiring paragon of purity, honesty, loyalty and chastity,
May your rarest footprints be followed by your tribes with love and devotion for eternity!

O MY LOVE! DO REMEMBER.

O my Love! Let me stay entwined and entangled around you; As a sincere creeper does cling to its most endearing lumber, To sip solace and satiate my thirst with your affinity dew, And with the sustenance of your love to be overfed to slumber! O my Love! Let me stay stuck around you, As the unbudging bark, to shield you from the pain of heat, cold and rain, To watch you thrive uninterrupted until you reach the realms of heaven, Unlike an unfaithful wasp, I'll ever revel in your clasp, as a rose with dew! O my Love! Let me ceaselessly flow, like a tree's sap, inside you; To nutriate, energize and invigorate so that you can bear blooms lovely and new! Let me tend you till I bend like a devoted and dedicated gardener, So that you can shine, smile, and rejoice like a Star, do remember! ©️ Dr. Shankar D Mishra 10.11.2021

THE MANSION OF MONEY

THE MANSION OF MONEY In the Manison of malicious money reigns never transcendental Love; A seed of solace sprouts never on its sterile soil to grow a tree for a Dove, Where She can build Her sweet home to give birth to the kids of Ecstasy, To croon to them the sublime Sermons of humility, charity and courtesy! In the Manison of malevolent money dwells never the Grace of God; For, it's worse than a dingy sty, where the vital roots of purity are withered, Where the leaves of compassion are ever dried yellow, and are about to fall, Where the windows of humanity are so short, and the doors of betrayal are too tall! In the Manison of malignant money dwells an Ozymandias like Megalomaniac, Who weighs the world only on a scale of opulence, mean, mundane and demoniac; Whose wide awake, ominous and owlish eyes are blind to insanity and impropriety, Even if he leads a life of imperial poverty, and ends it in a vain futility! O God! Let me never be enticed and ensnared by a mischievous Mansion of money, The modern man's sweetest Honey, his most beloved Crony, For, I'm well aware of its most murderous and invisible fang, That ever leaves its votaries stung more brutally and fatally than the bite of Fani. *Megalomaniac - a pathological egotist, that is, someone with a psychological disorder with symptoms like delusions of grandeur and an obsession with power. We also use the word megalomaniac more informally for people who behave as if they're convinced of their absolute power and greatness. N.B.
