WOMAN

O Priceless Potence! Thy name is woman.
O Intrinsic Essence! Thy name is woman.
O Blithesome Beauty! Thy name is woman.
O Dainty Duty! Thy name is woman.

Wouldn’t it be a sheer ridiculous reverie
To think of this spread of human generation
Without thy inexpressible contribution
Who is behind man’s every glorious story?

Thou art the sacred Deity of pious Pity
Thou art the paragon of platonic Purity
Thou art the symbol of inimitable Sacrifice
Thou art the replica of paradisial Peace.

Who can excel thee in unbearable tolerance?
Who can overshadow thee in sucking sufferance?
Who can have, sine thee, the vital sustenance?
Where is, sine thee, the least survival chance?

Who can match thee in rare generosity?
Who can compete with thee in magnanimity?
Who can come close to thee in steady fidelity?
Who can question thy indisputable chastity?

Who can equal thee in unadulterated loyalty?
Who can imitate thee in self-neglected frugality?
Who can supersede thee in salacious sublimity?
How could then Shakespeare call thee ‘O frailty’?

Isn’t it an ironical, mordant mockery then
To take pride in the so-called empowering women
To boast of watering, the source of water, an ocean
To swell over feeding the spontaneous Mercy rain?

Let’s thus stop curtailing the power of women
Let’s all be just, to our benefactors, humane
Let’s all be prudent, impartial and timely sane
To avoid being cursed by an impeding bane.
