DIWALI
Comes Diwali every year accompanied by Diya light,
Reminds all Lord Shri Ram’s return after winning Lanka fight!
Smiles blossom on every lip,
Grown ups gambol, and children skip,
Flowers dance, while leaves pipe,
Wow! Meadows wear a golden stripe,
Students embark upon pleasant trips,
Lo! Joys are stored in harmonious heaps!
Mother prepares different delicious dishes,
Children relish sweets, and wear new dresses,
They light Diyas, and burst crackers,
Yes, all glories go to the miraculous Maker’s!
Soon, alas! The happy Diwali bids us all a sad goodbye,
And, teaches to illuminate, like Diyas, before, forever, we lie!
