I HAVE STILL BEEN WAITING FOR THAT DIWALI NIGHT.

I HAVE STILL BEEN WAITING FOR THAT DIWALI NIGHT.

Oh ! I have still been waiting for that delightful Diwali night,
When there will be no dark fumes of crackers but Diya light;
There will be no grave growls and heinous howls of noise-nuisance-Devils,
There will be no more hazardous, polluted pleasures and man made toxic Evils!

Oh ! I have still been waiting for that delicious Diwali night,
When the rampant ignorance will no longer put Knowledge in plight;
When the real sense of celebration is no longer spoilt by explosions,
When there will be no more tormenting the vital Ozone Layer's erosions !

Oh ! I have still been waiting for that harmless Diwali night,
When there will no more be the reigns of deafening Ogres at sight;
When there will be a much relieving release of the choked Nature,
When men will be ecstatic by ending others' pain by lending heavenly rapture !

Thus, let's all say 'No' to a wild and destructive Diwali celebration,
Let's illuminate, like Diyas,  for a long and sound life of the whole creation !
