As the much awaited Diwali nights come closer,
Revelry readies to reign the country's every nook and corner!
Alas! Rushes rashly, bounding, vicious and vanishing pleasures,
Of bursting rumbling and spine shivering varied fire crackers!
But, I know not since when crackers have replaced the auspicious Diya-lights,
Since when we have been extracting from them darkening and deadly delights,
Since when we have been weighing our status by blasting the mounds of crackers,
Since when we have become our kind Nature's serenety and equilibrium wreckers?
Alas! When will know our ignorant and jubilant posterity?
"Exploding nerve-shattering crackers is not the real prosperity!
Diwali stands not for the inhuman noise and poise pollution,
Diwali is "A Festival of Lights"; epitomizes "All Evils' Elimination!"
Let's thus not turn our festive Diwali into a poisonous curse in disguise,
Let's celebrate It being more sensible, sense-oriented and wise!
Unless, we, while rejoicing, listen to the judicious calls of conscience,
We must then brace ourselves to face the music of a venomous consequence!

ReplyDeletePeople are celebrating Deepavali but actually most of them neither know what for Deepavali is nor they intend to know about it. They are just blindly copying the morden civilization and polluting our Hindu tradition and culture only. Some how it's a pitty that they are not at all aware of the evil consequences ....
