Oh! Under the sinister effects of the illusory wine,
Man enters a hallucinative Palace of the stinking swine!
Over the trifles, he does always grunt, rumble and whine,
Like a biped brute, he turns more savage even than a piercing porcupine!
Alas! An imprudent man drinks wine with a wanton and rampant raptness;
As the Mythological Giants, to be immortal, did drink venom in ignorance,
To be devoured by death-devils in disguise sure and imminent,
For, he, as moths are tempted into fire, is maddened by wine's irresistible scent!
Alas! A reckless wine addict builds a spurious and ruinous heaven of his own,
Where inhabit only the skeletons, who were once the paying guests of intoxication,
Who had then slaughtered their Scruples and butchered their Reasons,
Sentencing their guiltless families to spend the rest of their lives in wretched prisons!
Let's, thus, evaporate the Seas of wine before many innocent lives become it's victims,
And many hapless families watch, being charred before realizing their golden dreams!
