Guru Nanak Ji preached God lives not in any particular corner, or definite direction,
Though Omnipresent, He leaves forever the hearts of tyranny, pretence and corruption!
He loves the place, where live mutually virtue, nobility, fraternity and humanity,
Where rule not hatred, cruelty, and Injustice, but reign Truth, Trust, Peace and Sanctity!
God loves and relishes most the offerings of toil and rectitude,
He cannot be pleased with the temptations of ill-gotten abundance and plentitude!
God loathes the offerings rich and scrumptious; and spits the same of deceit, treachery and exploitation,
He gets content even with the honest, stale and dry bread of a poor man's perspiration!
Thus, don't look for God in the pompous processions and dishonest mansions,
Don't pursue Him in the boastful charity with evil intentions,
Don't spend lavishly on pilgrimages with a view to greedy returns,
For, God can be realized in all the directions by the men of good actions and detached devotions!
Thus, God should not be mistaken to be found by rituals showy and superstitious,
For, He can be felt by those alone, who are holy in thoughts; sacred in deeds; and in life purely pious!
