MY MOTHER

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
MY MOTHER

Oh! My mother always bothers,
Very unlike others!
She ceaselessly strives to make her offspring better,
Yes, nothing else across the globe is greater!

She selflessly serves until Her sorrowful demise,
She is uneducated but exceptionally wise!
She is a fluorescent Full-Moon in guise,
Yes, unpayable is her most precious prize!

She is ever familiar with the stormy trials and turbulent tribulations
Still, beautifully bounteous She is in Her pure affection!
Passive resistance, is Her unique cream.
Alas! Happiness for Her is a dried up stream!

Oh! Me like an ingrate son,
Earth never witnessed ever born!
Oh! She is a radiant Rose, and myself a pricking thorn,
I am the hollow chaff, and she is the life sustaining corn!

Ah! Stars smile in Her august presence,
Alas! The Sun departs in Her gloomy absence!
Compassion looks soothingly through Her chaste glance,
Ah! To have Her in life is indeed a Heavenly chance!
