O my love! In your depressing distance, the cuckoos' croons turn cacophonous,
The vernal vales and glades look not lively but scorched, lifeless and monotonous,
The alluring murmurs of the sprightly brooks walk into a deafening silence,
Stagnation stains agility; sombreness creeps into life that seems stripped off sweet sense!
O my love! In your distressing distance, the sunny heydays get devoid of the rays,
The moony nights, beclouded by gloom, fail to fill felicity in the lakes and the bays,
The green meadows host not the lambs, kittens and lambs, but cacti and mirages,
Melody is overthrown by melancholy, and clear visibility is overtaken by thick hazes!
O my love! In your heart-rending distance, this imperial life seems impoverished,
The strings of harmony are sorely snapped, and the Minars of beatitude are demolished,
Life lies languishing in dark, and dreadful cavern instead of a bright, cosy Palace -
My love says "I'll bid an adieu to endeavours, optimism, and a deathly debacle embrace!"
