LET RAGGING BE SOON STIGMATIZED.
Alas! The practice of humorous jokes of the freshers by their seniors
In the educational institutions for fraternal merriment and fun nagging
Has given birth to a horrible, illegitimate and shameless monster called 'Ragging',
Born with evil motives to corrode cordiality, mar morality and fan felony and fears!
Alas! It's turned the sacred shrines of learning into sacrilegious criminal hubs
Where take place smoking, drinking, molesting and rape by the rich cubs,
Who target the innocent as the lions pounce upon the scared, scampering deer,
Where the Principals remain apathetic, the police deaf and the govt. a blind spectator!
The print and the electronic media rush to pull their gaping readers and viewers
Just as the sweets attract the greedy ants and the carcasses call the hungry consumers;
And, the so-called social servants, NGOs and loyal leaders run to make the most,
While the culprits move Scott free and the victims and their families sufferer worst!
Let Ragging ' be soon stigmatized and the offenders be punished and ostracized,
Else, we will hardly deserve to be called ultra modern, well educated and civilized.

ReplyDeleteVery relevant reflection of the society's youth at the Temples of Learning. The criminal, sadistic, violent instincts of souls in the human garb get active at the slightest excuse and opportunity. Moral Education through fables and contemporary examples has become so crucial to check this Devilish trend. It's the worst example of society's disintegration. Sir, you have touched a vital chord that needs immediate correction.
In today's world, new generation is suffocating with these cunning activities in higher educational institutes and colleges in its very bad effect of the term called Ragging. Your beautifully narrated relevant poem came out in the right time so that the respective authorities can do the needful on these matters to clear the smoke and provide a peaceful atmosphere for the progressive students there.
