IT IS A MATTER OF………

IT IS A MATTER OF………

It is a matter of great, niggling shame,
If, without deserving, one unduly desires name and fame,
If a gentleman, by following foul means, tries to grab a game,
If a healthy and vigorous man takes shelter of an excuse lame!

It is a matter of huge, vexing ridicule,
If a rash driver braces himself up to teach Traffic Rule,
If a dim-witted fool proclaims to be the Greek Sir Oracle,
When one pushes hard, while one really needs to pull!

It is a matter of immense, annoying concern,
If one thinks at Dusk, it is only the beginning of Dawn,
If one is eager and enthusiastic to teach, while one is unwilling to learn,
If one wills to win a Marathon without shedding a drop of perspiration!

It is a matter of deep, nagging embarrassment,
When one claims to be the richest, though one is really insolvent,
When one, unable to climb a step, brags “Scaling Mt. Everest is not tough.”
When one says, “Glad to meet, while one actually wishes inside to see off!”
