AN EXAMPLE OF TWO EXEMPLARY DISCIPLES!
Once, a Guru, in His Ashrm, was in urgent need of some Tulsi Leaves,
So that He could offer Prasad to Lord Krishna with all Vedic rituals. So an order He promptly gives,
To one of His most obedient disciples, who owe to Him their life; for, He had been teaching them both all the Morals to win the earthly Strife!
But, what the honest reply of His most devoted disciple was, can you surmise?
"Forgive me, O my most revered Guruji, alas, could I correctly recognize,
I would be the first to carry out your orders as Hanuman brought Gandhamardan,
From the claws of death, to snatch life of Lord Ram's Brother, Laxman!
Then, before the dearest Guruji could turn to His other loyalest disciple,
He too proved his utter ignorance to identity the same, with the evidence ample:
"Shame on you, O my friend! When will you learn to identify Tulsi Leaves then?
O fool! Make a haste to fetch them now, for, they are as big as those of a plantain!"
Thus, both the disciples won Guru's heart with their exemplary truth and devotion,
And became the sweetest Examples for all to follow their steps to fetch sure Salvation!
