WHAT DOES THE LIFE OF LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI TEACH US?

 BELATED HAPPY SHASTRI JAYANTI!

WHAT DOES THE LIFE OF LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI TEACH US?

The towering personality of a person,
Is never measured by his wealth, clout and height;
As the oil of character, not the stuff and bulk of a lamp,
Matters most to get the darkness dispelling light!

The frosty and dampening winds of poverty and adversity,
Cannot hinder a person from scaling the Everest of Success;
As, even the turbulence of a flooded Ganges,
Bows before a man of strong will, fortitude and self-confidence!

The supreme Head of a country should smilingly skip food and privileges,
So that he can feed many million starving stomachs of his needy countrymen;
As only on the firm, toiling and loyal wheels of his soldiers as well as the farmers,
The golden-growth percentage of a country incredibly turns out to be ten out of ten!

Yes, Motherland, ahead of Mother and the family, comes first for a praiseworthy  patriotic Prime Minister,
Like Shastriji, who becomes an unforgettable Leader, for dying without a disease at Tashkent, enigmatic, shocking and sinister!
