MY FIRST POEM OF 2021

SHOULD THIS TREND CHANGE......

Isn't it right that the goods or the fabrics they are made from, made into, or made of,

Are nothing but the ingredients very same?

Still, why are we, like twilight-moths, weirdly and gullibly captivated and caught hold of,

By the hypnotizing halls, mirage malls or the gaudy wrappers of a so called brand name?

Alas! Our same extravagant, unthrifty and prodigal hands niggardly quaver or shake,

As soon as begs us an anxious beggar for alms; or beseeches a detached Sadhu or a Fakir,

To show the same profligacy generously for the former's starved family's empty stomachs' sake,

Or, to donate the latter so much freely and lavishly for Charity, Pooja, Bhog, or Prasad Khir!

Should this incorrigible trend tend to change fast after the year Two Thousand Twenty,

Heaven can't be an illusory or an inaccessible place on Earth, I will avouch with guarantee.
