TO THE SPRING

TO THE SPRING

O Spring! How high your highness is unlike me!
Your perpetual perfection is always at the acme,
Lo! I am lying at the disgraceful, fathomless bottom.
My mundane mind gives way to glorify your stardom!

O Spring! How much transparent and resplendent you are!
Ah! Pretence and concealment are aliens in your unique realm.
Neither arrogant nor complacent ever in life you are,
Blessed surely you are for your invaluable share!

O Spring! At your sight, my eyes relish immeasurable delight
Your sparks and sparkles are the marks of a radiant beacon light
May your nectaric touch reign and prevail on earth forever!
May I be cleansed and consecrated with your heavenly favour!

May all commonplaces mingle with you to be like you special!
May your Mercy make the Earth a Paradise, which is most crucial!

* acme - top
* gives way – fails, falls back,
* stardom – prominence
* resplendent – bright, dazzling
*beacon - guiding light,
* consecrated – made sacred

PASS, SURPASS AND TRESPASS

PASS, SURPASS AND TRESPASS

Those, who pass gifts generously, are very noble
Those, who pass time meaningfully, are so insightful
Those, who are experts, pass the balls to register goals
Those, who fight sincerely, never lose lives’ struggles.

Those, who are extraordinary, easily surpass one and all
Those, who are outstanding, surpass many an adverse fall
Those who are exceptional surpass every odd and obstacle
Those, who are remarkable, surpass the mundane Fame of Hall.

Those are poachers, who illegally trespass others’ property
Those are despots, who trespass others’s invaluable liberty
Those are beasts who trespass against morality and humanity
Those who trespass all ethics give birth to mean irrationality.

O God! Let me never either surpass or trespass to harass.
Unlike embarrassing hyacinth, let me my humble life pass.

BEHIND

BEHIND

Behind most sweet and delicious laughters
Hidden are most sour and unobtrusive tears!
Behind most dazzling and flourishing flowers
Hidden are most painful and piteous layers!

Behind most golden and glittering yields
Hidden are most swamp and untreadable fields!
Behind most coveted and enviable rewards
Hidden are most inexplicable and invincible hazards!

Behind most sound and slumbering sleeps
Hidden are most unsound and inexpressible griefs!
Behind most beautiful and enticing sights
Hidden are most hideous and sore fights!

Ah! Had all the “Behinds” been conspicuous and open
Who can tell? What would then ultimately happen?

* most - a good number of , * unobtrusive  -  not attracting necessary attention

PLEASE LISTEN TO OUR PITEOUS PRAYERS

Oh! Don’t pursue us ruthlessly any more
Oh! Don’t poach us relentlessly any more
Oh! Don’t prey us mercilessly any more
Oh! Don’t scare us to fly and scamper.

Oh! We are forced almost to be dwindled
Oh! We are pounced upon, killed and swindled
Oh! We are flying like birds for our survival
Oh! We are forced to flee our premature burial!

Oh! Show, on our innocent species, a little pity
Oh! Don’t make our peaceful habitats your noisy city
Your so-called heaven poses a hateful hell to us
Don’t throttle our breath with your intrusion curse.

Oh! Please do spare us
Oh! Please care for us,
O’ the biped cruel, deaf predators
Please listen to our piteous prayers.

 This is the gold medal winning poem in he Tri-weekly poetry contest, on the theme of a flying deer, conducted by the Group NUGGETS FROM NATURE. I am thankful to the Jury, the President, the Admins., the moderators and all the members of the Group for this. The result was declared on 15.04.2017.
