Behind
most sweet and delicious laughters
Hidden
are most sour and unobtrusive tears!
Behind
most dazzling and flourishing flowers
Hidden
are most painful and piteous layers!
Behind
most golden and glittering yields
Hidden
are most swamp and untreadable fields!
Behind
most coveted and enviable rewards
Hidden
are most inexplicable and invincible hazards!
Behind
most sound and slumbering sleeps
Hidden
are most unsound and inexpressible griefs!
Behind
most beautiful and enticing sights
Hidden
are most hideous and sore fights!
Ah!
Had all the “Behinds” been conspicuous and open
Who
can tell? What would then ultimately happen?
