‘Reward sweetens labour.’, and it
is known to one and all.
It is conferred only upon the
desert, worthy, able and tall.:
A solemn acknowledgement to one’s
enviable contribution
With a sweet, selfless,
wholehearted and celestial adoration.
A true reward is a symbol of
unshakable reliance and trust
That cannot be soiled and tarnished
by Time or foul dust.
No salty air can force it to rust;
unaffected by any gale or gust.
No combustible agents can coerce it
to burn, burst and be lost.
It must be deemed, ‘A reward is
also a double-edged sword.’
If steadfastly and purely
maintained, the receiver is a Lord;
But, on reckless and overconfident
failure to love and harness
One must not be reluctant to woo a
more disdainful disgrace!
A reward should never be buoyed and
swayed by complacence
That sours and spoils its sweet,
sugary and sublime sense,
That embitters its deep, delicious
and everlasting essence
Questions the bestowers and the
bestowed’s genuine credence.
