ROADS

ROADS

Roads are normally meant for destinations:
They take you through under varied recognitions,
Concrete roadways for pedestrians as well as vehicles
Waterways for sailors and boats, launches and gigantic ships
Railways for commuters, freights, posts and costly articles
Airways for the swiftest, urgent, most exalted and coziest trips!

There are other invisible roads too:
Some start with pleasures but end up with sorrows
Some are spurious and lead towards the gallows;
There’s still a unique path- tough, bitter and trodden by a few
That leads all towards solace, ecstasy, bliss and beatitude
But, only at the cost of carnal, mundane and miry attitude…..

N.B:- Inspired by Robert Frost’s poem ‘The Road Not Taken’
