ILLUSION

ILLUSION

When illusion looms menacingly over the weak mind,
The infirm latter can see neither future nor past hind.
Alas! It gropes in the thick dark of confusion to stumble,
And falls finally a prey to woefully groan, grumble and rumble.

When the gullible mind is engulfed by illusion,
It hankers after a vague, shadowy hallucination.
Relinquishing the path of truth and reality, Pursues It a perplexed course of fatal futility.

When the wretched mind is dictated by illusion,
Swayed by Its base and baneful inclination,
Heads It towards a destructive destination,
To end up with remorse, repentance and moan.

Thus, O the willful, insane and obdurate human,
Shun It soon to attain sweet, salvaged salvation.
