NIMISAKE TUME MORA HOI GALA

NIMISAKE TUME MORA HOI GALA

Nimisake nei gala tume mana mora
Nimisake hoi gal kete apanara!
Nimisake toli dela mo hrudaye ghara
Nimisake kari dela mate prema chora…..

Nida mora hari nela tume mitha katha re
Akhi mo lakhi rahila tuma chandra matha re
Sabu kasta menti gala tuma jadu katha re
Tumaku lepibi ebe sabu pida byatha re……

Tume laja koli lata, mote bhala lagila
Chhuinbaku kahibaru tume laje ragila
Mu bodhe dhoka debi, bhaye tume bhabila
Sanja bele dekha heba kahi tume bhagila……

Hele, anai basibi muhi tini sanja bela ku
Asiba ti mora preme sarashi ra kula ku?
“Bharasa ra samparka ku nele thare kola ku
Amara ta prema heba ajibana kalaku,
Amara ta prema heba ajibana kalaku…..”

THE SOLILOQUY OF A MIRROR

THE SOLILOQUY OF A MIRROR

I am a lifeless Mirror, yet livelier than anyone else
I am eyeless, yet I can see better than anyone else
I am not a judge, yet my judgment is unquestionable
I have no brain, yet my conscience is unfathomable!

I am only an honorary representative of the Almighty God
I am only a selfless benefactor to obey the Decree of my Lord
I am only an unbiased volunteer to serve you dutifully unpaid
Yes, under all circumstances, I am calm, passive and fully staid!

I have no role in praising or despising your outward contour
I am to only apprise whether it is sweet normal or abnormal sour.
So, let me neither be lavishly eulogized, nor be bitterly censured
Let me not be grimaced, nor be dotingly hugged with a reward!

Without my free service, how can you assess your fleshy features
How can you beautify and embellish you, the mortal creatures?
I am only a detached and obedient disciple of the great Nature
I wish you all to follow my untrodden footprints, and nurture.

Listen! There is a subtle mirror meticulously set in every person.
Have you ever peeped into to see its impartial manifestation?
It exhibits your Inner Self in an incredibly explicit fashion,
Follow it every passing instant for Moksha – your Destination.

* SOLILOQUY – a talking to oneself, a speech of this nature made by a character in a play
* eulogized – praised excessively, * grimaced – made a disagreeable face

This poem is inspired by Sylvia Plath’s poem “Mirror’.

LABOUR

LABOUR

Yes, the secure key to every success is labour,
Fortune smiles on them who rely on labour.
Defeat runs away where reigns only labour
They alone are  happy, who do cultivate labour.

Labour is a sweet nut that is wrapped with a hard shell,
Those alone can relish its flavour, who can crack it well!
But those who shirk it,  lament and moan in a penury hell,
Throughout life, with a sour debacle, they miserably dwell!

Labour is mirror- like impartial and just,
Its lovers do thrive, while its haters do burst!
Its devotees smile, while its adversaries shed tears,
How generously it blesses all who hug it without fears!

Labour pours on all peace, prosperity and self-esteem,
Labour grants all to gladly materialize everyone's dream!
Labour is the most loyal friend to one and all,
It never lets anyone down or lets anyone fall!

Let’s all honestly mould the rings of labour,
Let’s all diligently wreathe the beads of labour,
Let’s all sincerely store the wealth of labour,
Let’s all savour the sweet aroma of labour!

Let’s all sensibly plant the saplings of labour,
Let’s all pen down the holy scriptures of labour,
Let’s all engrave the immortality of labour,
Let’ all contently chant, “Labour is our life Saviour.”

Let’s feel the dignity of labour; give due respect the labourers,
Let’s never idle away time, and bribe to gain undue favours!
Let’s all labour to build a wonderful heaven on the mundane Earth,
Let’s all  by dint of labour immortalize our momentary, mortal  birth!

LABOUR’S FLAVOUR

LABOUR’S FLAVOUR

Dip, dip in the deep river of labour
Your rigid sins of sloth and laziness will shiver.
You will be blissfully blest with Bounty’s favour
You and ‘wants’ will be easily estranged forever.

Rub, rub the royal Sandalwood of labour
It will soon the fragrance of success deliver.
It will make you a lovely and worthy liver
Lo! It is the panacea to your painful penury fever.

Stud, stud your life’s crown with the gems of labour
It will keep dazzling brightly even in the nights darker.
It will pave your ways for your perennial Joy’s coronation
From the awful pangs of bondage it will confer liberation!

Scale, scale the stiff and steep steps of labour
You are sure to relish nectaric Salvation’s flavour.
