NO SURPRISE

NO  SURPRISE

“Sweat on a rich and gaudily garment
Tastes never salty” – is today’s argument.

Alas!  An embarrassing  spot on a royal hat
Is the so-called upgraded, uptodate and unique style!
At a poor man’s death laments not even a cat
But, oh! On a wealthy scar, wakes to bewail even the Nile!

A little frayed drape of a poverty stricken child
Is a stuff for everyone's jeer, sneer and derision,
For many, though an affluent model’s shoddy, wild
Apparel fetches rains of applause, money, and felicitation!

Lo! All these here happen, and absorb raptly thou must
Or, run thou wilt be over unheeded when tilt thou dost!
For, today, unanimously, triumphs here the glorious fads and guilt
And, on the poor tombs of the downtrodden, the rich mansions are built!
