TO ALL THE GURUS IN THE WORLD

WISHING YOU A HAPPY GURU PURNIMA!

TO ALL THE GURUS IN THE WORLD

You are the crystal clear, and unblurred Vision of my Knowledge eyes,
You are, at the very dawn of my learning, an enlightening Sunrise!
Oh! My little, dull and dormant world, only because of you, is so wise,
Your peerless Value, in my  meaningless life, I must gratefully memorize!

What I've ever been is, indeed, due to the tantalizing Treasure gifted by you,
Who has ever paid a Guru? Then, how can I, the ever Debtor, pay your due Due?
Though many swarm around, and drone unsolicited, very few are like You,
For, like a Thing of perennial Beauty, You are eternally Nourishing as well as New!

You are, undoubtedly, the best and the rarest Role Model I’ve ever seen,
Your Panacean blessings have turned a barren moor like me evergreen!
Your apt inculcation has ever shown me the realm inaccessible and unseen,
Oh! Without You, all my feats, would unquestionably, lack lustre and sheen!

Your purifying outpourings erase my rigid, obstinate and veiled stains,
Ah! Your depth of erudition is deeper than all five fathomless oceans;
Your magnanimous Presence dilutes and dissolves all my mundane pains,
At Your august glance sorrows flee soon, and happiness abundantly rains!

Your magnanimous munificence exudes in life perfection, peace and Bliss
So, what else on earth is so important as to Your Divine Feet devoutly kiss?

  1. An ode to the wealth of erudition and the taskmasters of knowledge, those who are pure and who are indeed true.
There's a saying in my country Nigeria: that a teacher's reward is in heaven. Indeed it is, yet does lie here on earth, with a reward that is due and manifold blessings.
A good name is better than riches, and how else to show great gratitude than to kiss the feet of a master? Yet, in all meekness, they would refuse such honour.
A sounding gong of love, loud and clear.
