WHEN WILL THE SOULS OF OUR MARTYRS REST IN PEACE?

Alas! Some left their Innocent Foetuses forever orphaned,
Some left their wretched Infants forever abandoned,
Some left their unfortunate wives untimely forever widowed,
And some left their sunny worlds at noon forever shadowed!

Alas! Some groping hands lost, forever, their supporting Sticks,
Some poor pillars lost, forever, their building upholding bricks,
Some brightening Bulbs lost, forever, their fluorescent Filaments,
Some staggering Legs lost, forever, their life sustaining Ligaments!

Alas! The Indian Army lost, forever, Its valorous and chivalrous Jawans,
Mother India lost, forever, Her selfless and sacrificing Sons,
All the country men lost, forever, their brave and praiseworthy brothers,
From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, there will fall only sour Tear-Showers!

But, when will the Souls of our Martyrs rest in permanent Peace?
Only when the 'Terrorists' are defaced, and 'Terrorism' is pushed, forever, to perish.

N.B. : This poem is dedicated to all the 40 plus CRPF personnel, who were killed in a suicide bomb attack, in the district of Pulwama, Jammu Kashmir, India, on 14th Feb. 2019, Wednesday.

हमारे शहीदों की आत्माएँ शांति से कब विश्राम करेंगी?

हाय! कुछ लोग अपने निर्दोष गर्भस्थ शिशुओं को सदा के लिए अनाथ छोड़ गए, कुछ अपने दयनीय शिशुओं को सदा के लिए परित्यक्त कर गए, कुछ अपनी दुर्भाग्यशाली पत्नियों को असमय सदा के लिए विधवा बना गए, और कुछ अपने उज्ज्वल संसार को दोपहर में ही सदा के लिए अंधकारमय कर गए।

हाय! कुछ टटोलते हाथ सदा के लिए अपनी सहारा देने वाली लाठी खो बैठे, कुछ गरीब स्तंभ सदा के लिए अपने भवन को संभालने वाली ईंटें खो बैठे, कुछ प्रकाश देने वाले बल्ब सदा के लिए अपने चमकते तार खो बैठे, कुछ लड़खड़ाते पाँव सदा के लिए जीवन बनाए रखने वाले स्नायु खो बैठे।

हाय! भारतीय सेना ने सदा के लिए अपने वीर और शूर जवान खो दिए, माँ भारत ने सदा के लिए अपने निःस्वार्थ और बलिदानी पुत्र खो दिए, सारे देशवासियों ने सदा के लिए अपने साहसी और प्रशंसनीय भाइयों को खो दिया, कश्मीर से कन्याकुमारी तक केवल खट्टे आँसुओं की वर्षा होगी।

पर हमारे शहीदों की आत्माएँ स्थायी शांति में कब विश्राम करेंगी?

 केवल तब, जब आतंकवादियों का अंत होगा और आतंकवाद सदा के लिए नष्ट कर दिया जाएगा।
