SDM'S KEY TO REMOVE "TOO"

 


REMOVE "TOO" FROM THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

Exercise: 1
(1) He is so proud that he won’t admit his fault.
(2) This trunk is so heavy that I cannot lift it.
(3) The teacher is so weak that she/he cannot control the class.
(4). This news is so good that it cannot be true.
(5) It is never so late that one cannot mend one's ways.
(6) He is so young that he cannot travel alone.
(7) His voice is so rough that he cannot attract hearers.
(8) He is so simple-minded that he cannot be a successful agent.
(9) He was so late that he could not hear the opening remarks of the President.
(10) The case is so urgent that it cannot be postponed.
(11) You are so late that you cannot catch/board the train.
(12) He is not so eager for praise.

Or, He is not so eager that he should be praised.

(13) Your speech was so good that words failed to praise it.
(14) Sunder Singh was so God-fearing that he did not leave the fallen man to his fate.

1. It is never so easy that one can keep one's promise.
2. He is so proud that he does not/won’t beg.
3. My heart is so full that words can’t express my feelings.
4 He was so late he could not hear the first speech.
5. He is so ignorant that he cannot be a postman.

4. He was so much distressed that he was unable to speak.

5. The sun is so hot that we cannot go out at present.

6. This box is so heavy that one cannot lift it.

Or, This box is so heavy that it cannot be lifted.

7. He is so immodest that he won’t/does not oblige.

8. He is so cruel does not sympathize with he poor.

9. She is so dull that she cannot understand it.

10. He ran so fast that he could not be caught.

11. This case is so complex that it cannot be solved.

12. He is so shrewd that he can see through the trick.
