SDM'S KEY TO USE "TOO"

 


USE "TOO" IN THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

 

Exercise: 1

(1) He is too short to be a soldier.

(2) He is too ill to move about.

(3) He was too greatly shocked to speak.

(4) This book is too difficult to follow.

(5) He spoke too low to be heard.

(6) He is too young to understand.

(7) The playground is too far off for a young boy to go there on foot.

(8) Your story is too ridiculous to be believed.

(9) Those villagers are too selfish to deserve any pity.

(10) He is too capable to require any advice.

 

Exercise: 2

1. These sums are too easy to solve.

2. Those questions were too tough for her to get passing marks.

3. It is too hot for us to go out.

4. This dress is too dirty for me to wear.

5. This bench was too heavy for us to lift.

6. She is too truthful to tell a lie.

7. His handwriting is too bad for me to read.

8. I am too weak to run fast.

9. It was too dark for me to see anything.

10. The rice is too hot for me to eat.

1. The weather is too stormy for us to go out today.

2. Lisa is too tense to do her work properly.

3. Mark is too intelligent not to make a mistake in his business.

4. The bike is too badly damaged to be repaired.

5. It is too cold for us to do anything but sit at home.

6. She is too obedient to go against her teachers.

7. He is too boastful to be believed.

8. The food is too pungent for me to eat.

9. The minister is too corrupt not to kill to make money.

10. I am too late to be allowed into the premises.

11. He was crying too bitterly to be consoled.

12. The tree is too high for me to climb.

13. The bed is too hard for me to sleep properly.

14. He is too firm to break his promise.

15. The house is too small to accommodate everyone.

16. Sardar Patel was too firm-minded not to face every situation fearlessly.

17. She is too pious to miss her morning prayers.

18. She is too kind-hearted to bear the pain of the poor and the needy.

19. He is too frightful to get a proper job anywhere.

20. She is too greedy to help anyone.

1. He is too young to shoulder this responsibility,

10. That is too much for me to bear.
