O GOD! LET ME NEVER BE AN UNINVITED GUEST.

O GOD! LET ME NEVER BE AN UNINVITED GUEST.

O God! Let me never be an uninvited and unwanted Guest,

  • Who often poses as an unheeded threat more like a silent, aching pest,
Like a bolt out of the blue, steals the indignant Host’s respite and rest,
Escorted by litters and messes to rob the pearly peace of the place in a haste,
Putting the prolonged practised patience of the Host to an embarrassing Test
Under a universal platitude, “Oh! It was indeed Time’s unavoidable behest!”

O God! Let me never be an unasked for and unwelcome Guest,
Who, like an unseen and piercing nail under the shoe, doth ceasest,
The sweet ambience of the Host with an uncalled for bleeding agony,
So soon accompanied by chaos, disorder, indiscipline and cacophony,
Alas! Compels one of the million parts of a Moment to pass like an Age,
Converts finally a happy haven of the hapless Host into an unsound cage!

O God! Let me never be an unsolicited and unaccommodatable Guest,
Rather let my due distance gush out my Host’s fun, frolic and a jolly zest!
