A DYING NECESSITY?
Is it
a dying necessity:
To
throw dust in one’s gullible eyes
To
gag one’s credulous tongue
To
strangle one’s guiltless breath
To
parch one’s thirsty throat
To
kick at one’s hungry stomach
To
drag one’s helpless, staggering feet and trip
To
trample upon one’s wounded bosom
To
drain one’s living blood
To
massacre one’s unalloyed emotions
To
blast one’s ultimate dreams to get our own base wants fulfilled?
* gullible – innocent/ easy to fool
* gag
– silence/ suppress
* credulous
– unsuspecting/ trusting easily without doubt
*
strangle – choke
* parch
– dry out
* massacre
– kill a mass number of people
* unalloyed
emotions – pure feelings
*
blast – explode/ blow up
