O BOU! YOUR DEATH HAS ORPHANED US, AT LAST.

O BOU! YOUR DEATH HAS ORPHANED US, AT LAST.

O Bou! You bade us a tearful and unacceptable Goodbye at last,
Succumbing, after a long, patient battle, to the dreaded Disease's cruel blast,
Leaving us orphaned on a ruffled Beach of helplessness and loneliness,
Teaching us all to absorb pains silently, and sorrows to suck and suppress!

O Bou! We have lost a most loving heart
After 'Nana' played his an inimitably loving part!
Yes, Nana was our pivotal Right hand, and you were  the vital Left,
Alas! Without you both, we are now in a deep strait, and in deadly debt!

O Bou! You were a Lady endowed with a rare versatility,
Who had excelled in every sphere, without doubt, in her duty,
Who, as a dedicated Teacher tended the student Trees in plenty,
Who had proved, under all circumstances, her enviable Utility!

O Bou! We feel proud of being blessed with such  priceless Parents,
Who else can fill up our irreparable vacuums, and irrecoverable dents?
You may be, after your exits, out of sight, but can't be out of our mind,
For, we still feel Nana's precious presence before us, and yours behind!

O Bou! May God gift all the kids in the world with the parents like you,
May God bless benevolently a heavenly Abode to both of you,
May all your good Feeds prop us forever through the Divine Grace,
May you inspire us to overcome all the hurdles in life's Marathon Race!

N.B. This poem is dedicated to the deceased Mother of Jharana Mishra, and is written on behalf of her and her two sisters and younger brother.
