ସ୍ୱପ୍ନ....।

   ଯଦି ମୁଁ ହୋଇ ଥା'ନ୍ତି ମୁକ୍ତ

          ଆକାଶର ଵିହଙ୍ଗ!!

ନୀଳ ଆକାଶର ବୁକୁ ଚିରି

ଖୋଜି ଥା'ନ୍ତି ଶାନ୍ତିର ନିଳୟ।

ଖୋଲି ଦେଇ ମୋ ମନଝରକାକୁ

  ପିଇ ଥା'ନ୍ତି ଶାନ୍ତିର ମଦିରା,

ଆଉ ଭୁଲି ଥା'ନ୍ତି ମୋ'ଉଦାସୀ

    ମନର ଉଦାସୀନତାକୁ ;

ହଜିଥା'ନ୍ତି ନିଜେ ନିଜର ଭିତରେ 

ଖୋଜି ଥା'ନ୍ତି ମୁଁ ମୋ ଜୀବାତ୍ମାକୁ

ଆପଣେଇ ନିଅନ୍ତି ମୋ ଭିତରକୁ

ସଵୁ ଆଶା,ସଵୁ ସ୍ୱପ୍ନ ଏକୀଭୂତ 

      କରି ରଚିଥା'ନ୍ତି ମୋ'କଳ୍ପନାର ସଉଧ:

ନିଃଶେଷ ହୋଇ ଥା'ନ୍ତି

ମୋ' ନିଜ ଭିତରେ।

ନିବଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇ ରହିଥା'ନ୍ତି

ମୋ'ନିଜ ବଳୟରେ:

ଆଉ ପିଇଥାନ୍ତି ସଵୁ ଦୁଃଖକୁ

ମୋ' ହାତ ପାପୁଲିରେ।

A DREAM

 

Would that I were a bird of the free and unfettered sky,

I could fly through her bosoms to seek a peaceful home!

Opening up the windows of my mind I could sip blissful drinks

And would forget the angst of my anxious and nervous mind;

Ah! I’d ecstatically lose myself in me in search of my Soul

I would hug into me all the hopes and dreams, and pull together

To build a magnificent mansion of my imaginations:

I would mingle myself in me

I would fence myself in my periphery

And I would drink away all the draughts of sorrows

With my own cupped palms…….!
