CONFESSION

CONFESSION

Confession appears too suffocating at first:
As if a piece of bone were stuck in one’s dying throat,
As if one inhaled a cloud of breath-choking soot or dust,
As if one were, like a fish without water, not at ease, a lot!

Confession, indeed, relieves a burdened soul and a repentant mind:
As a pregnant lady after a pain-stricken delivery, does a great reprieve find,
As an unpardonable culprit unloads a mountain off his heavy head,
As a starving mouth gladly comes upon after ages a crumb of tasty bread!

Confession cleanses the rotting stains and the uneasy pains inside,
It blesses one’s sore heart to live a life of peace, comfort and pride,
It leads one to transparency and light; teaches nothing ever to  hide,
It wakes one’s sleeping Conscience, and takes one for a Blissful ride!

Let Confession, O my God! be my life’s sole and noblest Mission,
Lest I should surely miss the flight to a Heavenly Realm of Salvation!

Glossary:
 At ease – relaxed/ comfortable
Reprieve – pardon/relief
Unpardonable – inexcusable
Blissful – delightful/ wonderful
