O GOD! LET ME NOT BE A MONARCH OF A FATAL KINGDOM!

O GOD! LET ME NOT BE A MONARCH OF A FATAL KINGDOM!

Oh! Artificiality plays supreme,
Where Genuineness is scared to scamper and quietly scream!
Oh! A Reverie is adored as, and substituted for a sweet dream,
Where the reeking Scum is taken for mouth watering Cream!

Comes to power a misleading and unrivalled Illusion,
Where suffocated and strangled is the valued Vision!
Oh! A more blessed and welcome haven is a poisoned Prison,
Where whipped, gagged and throttled is one’s prized Reason!

Oh! Hell is a much coveted and sought after place,
Where Heaven is unwanted like cursed, rotten flesh!
Oh! A shameful Incarceration is a celestial Bliss,
Where Salvation is ignobly sliced to many a piece!

Oh! Falsehood clears, at ease, the litmus Test,
Where Truth is poisoned to death as a pestering Pest!
O God! Let me not be a wretched Monarch of a fatal Kingdom,
Let me prefer, in Your Realm, a contented and reprieved Serfdom!

Glossary:
reeking - stinking
scum- a layer of dirt on the surface of a liquid
