THE BEST EVER TRIBUTE TO A FATHER

Verily and invariably, a father he is

Who does all so that he can his children please

Who incessantly cools for his children like a breeze

Who for his children’s laughter can his own cease!

A father is a shielding and safeguarding umbrella for his children

That stands untilted to secure them from the Sun, mist and rain!

To place them in a heaven, he hugs gladly even a mucky drain

For, he finds his ecstasy alone in their enviably endless gain!

A father is the most virtuous and matchless receptacle

For which alone starts the whole world’s life cycle!

Oh! His part cannot be expounded in any mundane ink

To reach the Super Soul, his blessing is the best link!

Let’s all then do nothing ever that hurts a little a father

Is there any better tribute that children can treasure?

N.B: The poet was bereaved of his father at a tender age of 1.5 yours [one and half years] when he was unable to remember anything about his father. So, he pays this tribute to his late father in the form of this hymn on the auspicious Father’s Day, hoping that his father will receive his poorest son’s richest gift, wherever he may be.

Wishing A HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all the fathers in the world on behalf of all the children around the globe.

* invariably – always/ever/never changing

* incessantly – constantly/ continuously

* his own cease – can end all his own happiness

* shielding and safeguarding – caring/ protecting

* untilted – not bent

* mucky – dirty

* ecstasy – extreme happiness

* enviably – that which arouses envy

* receptacle – vessel/ holder

* expounded – explained

* treasure – retain carefully/keep in store as in the mind/cherish/prize
