A HYMN TO LORD SHIVA!

HAPPY MAHA SHIVA RATRI! TO YOU!

A HYMN TO LORD SHIVA!

O Lord! You do dwell in the light feathers' flit and flutter,
You do dwell in the free birds’ harmonious twitter,
You do dwell in the curative Neem leaves bitter,
You do dwell in the falling rain drops’ chatter!

O Lord! You do dwell in the tiny emerald grass blades,
You do dwell in the deep tranquil vales and glades,
You do dwell in the soothing and cooling shades,
You do dwell in the vital virginity of the maids!

O Lord! You do dwell in the all permeating wind’s breath,
You do dwell in the loyal Devotees' and Theists' Divine and spiritual Faith,
You do dwell behind every living organ’s death and birth,
You do dwell behind every activity upon this unique Earth!

O Lord! You do dwell inside and outside of the unlimited Universe,
You do dwell in the self-realized and acknowledged remorse,
You do dwell in the fair, unmixed, purifying and perennial Beauty,
You do dwell in the self revealing Truth and the virtuous Duty!

O Lord! You do dwell in the Merciful, silver beads of showers,
You do dwell in the benevolent Benefactors' forgiving powers,
You do dwell in the pleasing tunes of the melodious choirs,
You do dwell in all the miraculous minerals, and airs' all the layers!

O Lord! You do dwell in all pervading minutest atoms,
You do dwell in the five Oceans’ fathomless bottoms,
You do dwell in the tender petals of the aromatic blossoms,
You do dwell in the mesmerizing marvels and incredible wonders of ‘Aums'!

Theist – According to Chambers dictionary, one who has belief in the existence of God with or without a belief in a special revelation.

Description on Maha Shivaratri : Sources, WIKIPEDIA
Maha Shivaratri is an annual festival dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, and is particularly important in the Shaivism tradition of Hinduism. Unlike most Hindu festivals which are celebrated during the day, the Maha Shivaratri is celebrated at night. Furthermore, unlike most Hindu festivals which include expression of cultural revelry, the Maha Shivaratri is a solemn event notable for its introspective focus, fasting, meditation on Shiva, self study, social harmony and an all night vigil at Shiva temples.[4]
The celebration includes maintaining a "jaagaran", an all-night vigil and prayers, because Shaiva Hindus mark this night as "overcoming darkness and ignorance" in one's life and the world through Shiva. Offerings of fruits, leaves, sweets and milk to Shiva are made, some perform all-day fasting with vedic or tantrik worship of Shiva, and some perform meditative Yoga.[8] In Shiva temples, "Om Namah Shivaya", the sacred mantra of Shiva, is chanted through the day.
Maha Shivaratri is celebrated over three or ten days based on the Hindu luni-solar calendar.[3] Every lunar month, there is a Shivaratri (12 per year). The main festival is called Maha Shivaratri, or great Shivaratri, and this is on 13th night (waning moon) and 14th day of the month Phalguna (Magha). According to the Gregorian calendar, the day falls in either February or March.[3]
