O ATALJI! INDIA WILL MISS YOU A LOT!
A strict lawyer, prolific poet and life long follower of high Ethics,
An austere disciplinarian and a mature Parliamentarian,
In the real sense of the term, you were the truest Samaritan!
O Atalji! Your unique and inimitable oratory could be heard even in chaos,
Blood of Patriotism, selfless public service flowed in your arteries holy, and veins pious!
Your sensible, visionary, flawless and unbudging decisions,
Made you one of Mother India's most favoured and booned Sons!
O Atalji! You never pursued politics for your cheap personal gains,
You never trode a path objectionable, irrelevant, mean and non-sense!
You were born to serve, at crises unperturbed and calm were your nerves,
Commendable were your catalyst's character, spirits, sagacity, acumen and verves!
O Atalji! You have surely left indelible footprints on the sands of Time,
That will, without doubt, shine and guide as a Pole-star even in the most unfavourable clime!

It still smells so fresh, still prolong with the fragrance, it shines as it is lit just a moment back, it's so live that I can see the blooming tender buds of sweet memories.
