LET ME BE CONDEMNED AND CHASTISED!
Yes, committing an error is normally human,
But, by whom is repeated the same?¬¬¬
Who are, indeed, insensitive, incorrigible and insane,
Who are, ultimately and helplessly, themselves to blame!
Yes, forgiving is no doubt Divine,
But, for whom is it called conniving?
Who are callous despite being erroneous and canine,
Who prefer lying inanimate while they are still living!
Yes, winning is unquestionably a matter of swelling pride,
But, for whom is it worse even than the humiliating debacles?
Who breach moral Codes, and reject blatantly the rules to abide,
Who are, at length, hooked by Time’s firm and inescapable Tentacles!
Yes, let me be condemned and chastised if ever I am red-handed caught,
For, none has ever dodged successfully a willful evil deed’s onslaught!
Glossary:
Condemned - scolded/cursed
Chastised – punished
Conniving – manipulative/ carelessly ignoring a fault
Callous – uncaring
Canine – like a dog
Lying – staying/remaining
Swelling – big/inflated
Debacle – defeat
Breach - break
Blatantly – unashamedly
Tentacles –grasps/holds
Dodged – avoided
Onslaught – attack/blow
