A NEW YEAR WISH SONNET
May there emerge a new, vigorous and optimistic urge,
May none waste energy, spoil time and wealth splurge,
May all sprout, tend, foster and cultivate a new hope,
May none ever wander, squander, blunder and grope!
May all learn not to repeat their past errors and mistakes,
May all burn the defeat fuels to bake their Victory Cakes,
May all apply on their faces the powders of Peace and Love,
May all, like selfless Mother Teresa, devote themselves to serve!
May all plant the plants of happiness and cooperation,
May all say 'a bye' to Injustice, Oppression and exploitation,
May all contribute to the building of a new World Mansion,
May all be tied with the bonds of brotherhood and reciprocation!
May my New Year Wish not prove a spurious Castle in the air,
May, in this New Year, rule only the just, righteous, honest and fair with God's Care!
