ON THE UNTIMELY DEMISE OF DHAN
Oh! What a gloomy vicissitude
That snatched you away from us
In an instant; it did intrude,
Force us to face an irreparable
loss…
Like an innocent baby Sprite
You slept not to ever wake
To toddle, waddle and walk
And rejoice to view life’s day
light!
How could one expect a tender pink
twig to drop
Without any ill omen of cyclone or
gust;
Or a boat to drown never to ever
come up
Sine any augury of hurricane or
tempest?
Your sepulture in the ninth month
was a bolt from the blue
What’s use of your B.C I
fortuitously procured on the same day too?
Who can be a more unfortunate to
get the B.C and D.C together
And remain a baffled, buffeted and
bereft begetter?
N.B:- Dhan, poet's younger daughter, breathed her last
on 15th Nov.2010 at 11.45 p.m due to
pneumonia. She was born on 10th Feb. 2010
