The word tense comes from the Latin word
"Tempus' which means Time. Definition of tense. Tense is the form of a verb that shows the time of an action and its degree of
completeness
Classification of tense:- Tense is of three types:
1) Present tense 2) Past tense
3) Future tense According to the degree of an action's completeness each tense is classified into four
types:
1) Simple/Indefinite

In English grammar voice is of two types:
1. Active voice
2Passive voice
In active voice the subject is prominent and it does the action.
In passive voice the object is prominent and the action is acted upon.
In active voice the sentence order is- Subject + verb + object,or (s + v + o)
In passive voice the sentence order - S .f.0+h.v v ^ 3 + by
(or other prepositions) + o.f.s
S.f. phi = subject form of the object
4x - 1 helping verb; v ^ 3 =* verb third form 0. f .s- object form of the subject.
In change the voice the active verb must be
transitive
The verbs of future continuous tense and present/ past/future perfect continuous tenses cannot be changed into
passive voice.
